Our research shows that professional organisations favour being seen to work hard, putting in long hours in the office rather than leaving early after a day of premium-paying work. Young professionals are often prepared to work for two years to get the name of a large firm on their CV and then leave to join a firm for a better lifestyle and a mission other than working hard.
